Sundae 31/1/10 :: Scott Walker

Scott Walker has oodles of experience behind the decks having been host and support for an envied entourage of a-list internationals. His presence in the booth signals a high quality event: at Family, Barsoma, various underground parties, festivals, boats and of course, Moonbar, the current home of his own legendary Drop parties, now in it’s seventh year. He’s always a crowd pleaser whether behind the decks with fresh tunes in hand or or in front of them with a handshake. Scott’s smiling face is a true symbol of the ability to be a successful DJ and promoter without compromising your support for others in what can be a cut-throat industry. He loves what he does and we look forward to him doing it for Sundae this week See you in the sunshine!

Sundae 24/1/10 :: Chantal

Due to circumstances beyoond our control Brian Damms is unable to play this weekend so resident DJ Chantal has graciously offered to step up and cover his set. Chantal’s Sundae sound is familiar to all those who have joined us at Watt! A mixture of house, funk & disco, afro-latin fresh and classic which always puts a smile on peoples faces. A young woman with an old musical soul who’s going places and looks good doing it. I predict another fun afternoon of music and mingling not to be missed.

Sundae 17/1/10 :: Rikki Newton

Is he a DJ, Is he a promoter or is he a rock-star? Rikki Newton the poster boy of the new deep-house movement in Brisbane and founder and promoter of the popular Subtrakt events at Barsoma, brings his Sundae sound to the decks at Watt this weekend! Rikki likes to stay a step ahead of his competition with freshest tunes but this sundae we expect he will dig through the crates to pull out some tracks that show his genre stepping abilities and experience at the turntables. Nice t-shirt by the way Rikki lol!

Sundae 10/1/10 :: Danny Cool

Danny may be considered a relative newcomer to the Brisbane DJ scene but in that short time he has proven he has the versatility and crowd pleasing ability it takes to keep him busy behind the turntables of numurous clubs and events around town. With an eclectic bag of tricks including 70s funk and soul, golden era hip-hop, reggae, disco grinding jiggy and everything in between, danny is sure to take us on a memorable and surprising musical journey. Many of you may have noticed that record players are still the focus of the DJ booth at Sundae so we are prowd to welcome another self confessed vinyl addict to the comfort of the 1200’s. See you in the sunshine!
