So it comes to the end of the year, and 2012 for us was a banger. Brisbane locals consistently show us the quality that comes out of our little town, and we’ve shared some fun too with many fantastic guests from around the country and around the world. At this time of year we are thankful too for all of our wonderful friends who come out to play with us each Sundae, all of you are a big part of why we throw this little shindig each week.
This Christmas as many of us head home to celebrate with those close to them, some of you may find yourselves away from home for work or other reasons. Even if you aren’t alone at this time of year, remember that Sundae is your family too and we’ll be throwing on tunes and good cheer as we have all year. This week’s guest DJs are expats too: Phil Perry and Brian Damms hail from the UK, but now call Australia home, and will be joining us this week with bags of soulful, jazzy and disco flavoured deep house, alongside our happy hosts Cool Hand Luke and Chantal supplying the support with deep and funky selections. In addition, the decks will be available for drop in spinners if the mood takes them.
As you know we are in our prime time now. The Summer in Brisbane is perfect for kicking back on a weekend in the sun, by the river, with some cool cocktails and hot tunes provided by the Sundae team. Bring your family or join ours. We’re all for happy new friends at the party so come along and find us, we’ll see you in the sunshine.
One of the kings of house who has been rocking it since 1988 will be making Brisbane shake their booty for the first time ever the Saturday before the xmas.

Terrence pretty much is house music. He lives and breathes it and executes it perfectly. Terrence is also what some people call a real dj. He concentrates on using the song and the mixer to make his groove. To top that off he is legendary for using an 80s telephone as his headphone!?!
Detroit has been credited as one of the Soul Music capitals of the world, spawning legendary artists like The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross just to name a few. Within the past decade Detroit’s Underground Music Movement has brought rise to new artists such as Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson and a host of others. But unlike the aforesaid names, Terrence Parker has established himself as a producer, remixer and DJ of the classic sound of House Music, and is known as a pioneer of the Inspirational / Gospel House movement!
Terrence Parker has performed as a DJ in more than 150 cities throughout the world. Since 1988, he has released more than 100 recordings, and had top 20 hits with his songs “Love’s Got Me High”, “The Question” and albums like “Detroit After Dark” in the U.K., The Netherlands, Germany, and France.
Terrence Parker is definitely still in the game, and better than ever. Some people call TP the “Telephone Man” because he uses an actual telephone as headphones. We call him the “Telephone Man” because he has answered the CALL to bring us music to feed our souls!
Come get your dance on!
Well what can we say about our guest this week? We are so excited to see Katch coming down the path towards the party. What a start to summer! Katch is a keen collector and a devastating selector, rocking living rooms, big rooms, outside rooms and now Sundae with his infectious party funking vibes.
From early in the game, Katch has positioned himself as a hip hop explorer, along the way collecting multiple DMC titles, been one of 2Dogs, crossed the country with the notorious party outfit Resin Dogs, and hosted the long running Phat Tape show on 4ZZZ. The misadventures and mischief continues on the road, where Katch performs touring duties for Regurgitator, in amongst his own busy schedule that sees him criss crossing the globe.
As the days get longer, and a little sun peeks through in the afternoon we settle down to ripple of the river and chill beats offered by our breakbeat troubador Katch. Join us for a Katch Xmas this Sundae, chilling and illing in the park. See you in the sunshine.
