Sundae 14/9/14 :: Andrew Lynch

One of the great things about living in Brisbane is the ability to go out of a weekend and catch our local djs throwing down at an international level. The talented locals have much to do with our little city coming of age, and we are proud to have such serious selectors amongst us. Our guest this week is one of the hardworking homeboys that make it all happen each week and if you have been clubbing at any time in the last ten years in Brisbane, chances are at some stage you stepped onto Andrew Lynchโ€™s dancefloor.

As part of the highly organised Uncle @ Family outfight Andrew threw it down weekly to one of the most in touch crowds in Brisbane. Able to maintain at the peak time with individual flair he added Monastery and Uber to the list of large rooms that took a thumping from him, showing his adaptability to crowds of all persuasions. Not enough to keep things humming in the big rooms, he adapted to the small parties well too, taking on a roster that included venues like Zuri, Alhambra, Jade Buddha, Limes and many more. Flipping between deep soulful selections and big chugging jacking house, Andrew takes to the decks with the keen attention to detail, but with a warm and inviting sound that will catch anyone up in his feel
good beat.

In the downtime between his various engagements, Andrew is found in the studio, pushing the soulful deep house style further with his own explorations of the sound. With a little help from our friend DJ Freestyle, Andrew made the jump from apprentice to producer and is steadily developing his own take on the house sound. This week sees Andrew arrive at our party with an eager grin, ready to take on our little gathering, and while we can look forward to his notable deep house sound we expect that he will stray from the straight up path to throw in a few around the edges from his own personal listening stash. The new venue sounds terrific, so join us this week as we welcome Andrew Lynch back to Sundae. Weโ€™ll see you in the sunshine.
